Generative AI appears as you’re crafting emails or reviewing  search engine results. AI adoption has been imposed upon our everyday lives, both personally and professionally. Some of us have explored ways to responsibly integrate AI tool use in the classroom. And the rest of us remain cautious given the documented disparities threaded throughout AI systems.

In this keynote, Dr. Marshall discusses both ends of the AI adoption spectrum. We’ll lean into prioritizing people over pedagogy and pedagogy over tech. Embracing your skills and experience are keys to pinpointing areas of AI transparency and mitigating AI bias. In the face of AI’s known problems, there remains possibilities in learning to teach others how to scrutinize AI tools. You’ll walk away with a newfound curiosity on navigating teaching and learning with a side of AI.
