This session will demonstrate how Maker technology can enhance project-based learning by enabling students to transform their ideas into tangible artifacts that engage others. Attendees will learn how tools like dye sublimation and graphic design software can foster creativity, collaboration, and practical skills. The presentation will share insights from a successful collaboration between ENGL 50: Introduction to Creative Writing and the Maker Commons in Pattee Library, supported by a microgrant from the Office for General Education. This partnership allowed students to extend their creative writing into the physical realm by producing custom-designed physical creations.
