This session explores creating effective, adaptable syllabi that support faculty and students in evolving educational landscapes. Our team at the College of IST is developing a “Policy Playbook”—a digital resource of best practices and strategies from faculty across the College—to foster more inclusive and transparent course design. We will present data-driven methods for identifying and addressing common policy challenges, emphasizing instructional technologies like TopHat, Canvas, and Generative AI. Participants will engage through live discussions, polls, and exercises, gaining practical tools and templates to draft syllabi that promote inclusion, transparency, and collaboration across departments.
