Boosting Micro-learning with Bite-Size Videos
Saturday March 22, 2025 2:30pm - 3:00pm EDT
218
This session presents a tool to boost student engagement by generating personalized, bite-sized video segments from recorded lectures responding to specific student queries. With university attendance dropping post-COVID and an increased reliance on lengthy recorded lectures, students often seek clarification during office hours, putting extra strain on instructors. Our tool leverages natural language processing to deliver concise, focused video content, enhancing student retention and engagement. Through live demonstrations and interactive polling, we will explore the tool’s impact in large classes and discuss practical applications of microlearning to foster effective, accessible learning environments.
